Preparation & Timing—Prepare the topic. Practice using ZOOM and its features, especially “mute.” We suggest using “waiting room” and admitting participants from the waiting room at the start time. Sessions end after 40 minutes.

 

Topic & Icebreaker—A provocative topic will be the foundation for a robust conversation. Here is a link with ideas. Start out with an icebreaker, even just a self-introduction. Everyone should speak briefly.

 

Rules & Facilitating—Be respectful to each other. Institute your own ground rules at the beginning. Manage the conversation. Pick the next speaker. Set time limits. Know how to mute/unmute participants.

 

Notes & Wrap Up—On your computer, type notes about learning points that come up. At the end, conclude the conversation, ask learners to recap learning points, share notes.
